It's enough to make you hope that seeing Obsidian and Bethesda united under Xbox really could give us a New Vegas sequel, but that's still more of a pipedream at this point.
There's no word on when the team hopes to put the mod out there, but it's clear they've already assembled some portfolio-worthy work. This trailer for the anniversary of the original is actually kicking off a showcase week of new work from the Fallout 4: New Vegas team, so for more you should definitely follow their work on Twitter. Earlier this year they released a short teaser featuring a certain lottery winner New Vegas players might remember, and even the newly recorded voice work stays true to Obsidian's release where it matters most. The Fallout 4: New Vegas team is large-the credits for the trailer on YouTube list a few dozen names-and has been working away at the project for quite a while. From the small town of Goodsprings to Nipton, Vikki and Vance's Casino, and the Powder Ganger-filled prison, every part of New Vegas seen in the trailer has been recreated with clear love and respect for the source material. It's all there and looking spiffier than ever thanks to the engine's improved lighting and the hard work of the mod team's artists.
